alarm clock

dear Neighbour:

this daily double insult have i bourne too long,
for each waking session, even five minutes is too much
yet twice daily half an hour it sings, (to my impatient ears rather more)
before it rings itself hoarse, and then stops.

mayhap if this had happened but once,
i might have contrived you an excuse; yet no -
11.30 on the hour, every day TWICE i hear
your Duracell bunny powered alarm clock.

the fault, i conclude, cannot lie with the timing device,
for i know too well it's high-pitched call;
might i suggest the selection of a far softer, melodious chime
and for you to sleep with a hearing aid on.

frikking neighbour left his/ her alarm clock on without swtitching it off, i tell you!
what's the use of using an alarm clock if you dont frikking wake up when it rings?

(needy poem)

give me your arms, to hold me tight
your silence, to shield me;
a promise, things will turn out right,
gift me your love, don't leave me.

(needy poem is a tentative title)

the bitter pill

drown my previous protestations of love
discard them
with the rest of the day's waste;
they have lost their currency.
what once briefly enriched us
can now only purchase despair

jade

though all the stars in the heavens
glitter richly tsavorite, jade, or emerald,
the hoard of a jealous kraken -
as he and i walk by the boastful beast's domain,
no eyes have i for jewels of the sky or sea
when my love's gaze is far more precious to me.
